As cost-effective provider network adequacy strategies were deployed, and high deductible plans surged there was increase in patient knowledge, engagement, consumerism, and ownership of their care. This propelled her to broaden her focus to include a Managed Care Business to Customer (B2C) approach. Her professional experience and industry knowledge have been monumental in building her unique perspective on opportunities within her industry. Her personal commitment to the Value Base Care triple aim (of higher quality, lower cost, and better access) has led to her becoming a Co-Founding Board Member and Chief Operations Officer for The Daughters Den. A non-profit organization dedicated to innovative care delivery models of intergenerational healing and trauma recovery for Black women and girls.
Chavaughn has 17 years of non-profit leadership experiences and continuously contributes to furthering the advancement of Health, Technology, Education, Economics and Government Affairs. She is the Central Ohio Chapter President for the National Association of Health Service Executives, A National Board of the African American employee resource group at McKesson Pharmaceuticals, a past board member for the Northeast Ohio chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives and has served on a number of boards additional boards within the civic engagement and healthcare space.

Chavaughn Gibson is a Healthcare FINTECH Portfolio Manager, at McKesson Pharmaceuticals. She leads efforts with software engineers, data analyst, healthcare business leaders, and government affairs teams to bring technological financial solutions to life.
Her early exposure to healthcare exploration, which began at age 14, as a biomedical engineering intern was monumental in building her unique perspective on opportunities within her industry. She believes that data driven decision making and innovation are the keys to solving complex problems and strengthening partnerships.
She has a decade of Managed Care Business to business (B2B) Contracting experience on both the medical and pharmaceutical sides of the healthcare delivery system for Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial lines of business. Her work has required collaborations with various teams within the healthcare delivery system, including Health Insurance Payer Contracting, Pharmacy Benefit Manager Contracting, Clinical care, Quality, Care Management, Health Informatics, Medical Economic and Actuarial Science. These collaborations have led to the development and implementation of innovative business and financial models that shifted traditional fee-for-service healthcare service reimbursement models into Value Based, Pay for Performance, and Population Health models that tied reimbursement to patient outcome using HEDIS measures, Medicare STARS measures, and Risk Adjustment data.
